Baragar House is a charming, Craftsman Style Bungalow, in historic "Ft. Sherman", within walking   distance of Coeur d'Alene Lake  and   the City Park (both 1 block), downtown and North Idaho College.

All bedrooms have Queen beds, are air-conditioned, and have cable TV/VCR. Be sure to ask us about “sleeping under OUR stars” - a professionally installed version of the stars of North Idaho on the bedroom ceilings - romantic & wonderful!

All have private use of the lovely indoor six-person hot tub and sauna, where guests may sit outside on the balcony wearing our cozy terry robes. The view can be enjoyed, along with many choices of complimentary refreshments that are available at all hours.

We serve a delicious full breakfast, family style, with home baked pastries and entrees, in our gracious dining room. We cater to Honeymooners and offer them "breakfast in bed". As an added touch of pampering, our guests will find a morning coffee tray outside their bedroom door before breakfast.

Activities such as tennis, biking, golfing, hiking, picnicking, kite flying, horseback riding and observing wildlife are a few of the many available options. Historic museums, live theaters, float plane tours and city center shopping are within minutes!

The Honeymoon Suite
A beautiful and spacious room with Victorian decor and vaulted ceiling, a large, romantic, private bathroom with an antique claw-foot tub nestled under a bay window, and glass shower with double showerheads.

The Country Cabin
Outdoor motif with mountain stream and cloud murals.  This room has a cozy eave room with an extra feather bed, a sink and shares a lovely bath? with the Garden Room.  Bath has an antique claw-foot tub, triple mirrors, and a separate tile shower.

The Garden Room
This lovely and appealing has an unusual mahogany vanity, canopied window seat in a floral setting, a sink and shares a bath with the Country Cabin (see above.) Hot tub bathroom can be used.

Rates & Policies

  • Rates: $99 & $169 Rates are for one to two persons in shared bed. ($20.00 per extra person,) and are subject to change without notice. Plus current 8.5% tax.
  • Reservations are guaranteed by advance deposit of one night's rate.
  • We accept American Express, MasterCard, and Visa.
  • A cancellation notice is required seven (7) days prior to reservation date for deposit refund.
  • Check-in time is 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.*
  • Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.*
  • As much as we love animals, many guests have allergies, so sadly, we do not accept pets.
  • We are mainly an adult inn with limited accommodations for small children.
  • Smoking is an outside activity.
  • Laundry facilities are available.
  • We are open year round.

Getting Here 
From Interstate 90

Take Exit #11, and go south toward City Center on Northwest Blvd. At third stop light (Mullan Ave.), turn right. Take the first left (West Garden), and turn left again on Military Drive. Baragar House will be on your left about 200 yards.

From Highway 95

Take the Northwest Blvd. off ramp toward City Center. At the first stop light (Mullan Ave.) Take the first left (West Garden), and turn left again on Military Drive. Baragar House will be on your left about 200 yards.

From Sherman Avenue

Traveling West, turn left at stop light at Mullan Ave. Take the first left (West Garden), and turn left again on Military Drive. Baragar House will be on your left about 200 yards.
